To thoroughly implement the requirements of the special campaign titled "2026 Flood and Summer Period Major Water Traffic Safety Risk & Hidden Danger Investigation, Rectification and Elevated Holiday Control of Major Hazardous Sources" issued by the Guangzhou Maritime Bureau, Huang Huo, General Manager of Ruico shipping, recently led Captain Wang Yong (the company’s Designated Person Ashore, DPA), marine and engineering supervisors, and crew personnel supervisors to visit the vessel Hengyu 93 at the West Base Wharf of Guangshihua in Huangpu, Guangzhou. The team conducted safety hazard investigations in strict accordance with the special campaign standards set by the maritime bureau, consolidating safety defenses for the flood and summer period.

Upon boarding the vessel, General Manager Huang Huo and his team carried out comprehensive safety hazard inspections in strict compliance with special training standards. The inspection team focused on the operational status of key areas, including navigation and communication equipment on the bridge, power systems in the engine room, fire-fighting and life-saving equipment, and emergency material reserves. They also carefully verified account documents such as the vessel’s flood season safety emergency plan, duty rosters, equipment maintenance records, and crew safety training files. The team further inquired in detail about the implementation of the vessel’s navigation plans for the flood and summer period, cargo handling procedures, and response measures for extreme weather. Regarding minor issues identified during the inspection, General Manager Huang Huo put forward clear rectification requirements on-site, specified rectification time limits, and assigned rectification responsibilities. He urged the vessel management team to implement immediate corrections and closed-loop management, ensuring that potential safety hazards are identified, addressed, and eliminated at an early stage. This approach aims to resolutely prevent all types of safety accidents and effectively consolidate the safe operation defenses of the vessel.

During the inspection break, General Manager Huang Huo promoted the company’s corporate culture and safety culture to all crew members, and held in-depth discussions with the vessel’s management team. He learned in detail about the workload, daily life, and career development aspirations of frontline seafarers.

Later, standing in front of the "Safety & Integrity Vessel" plaque hanging prominently in the dining room, General Manager Huang Huo encouraged promising young crew members. He emphasized that seafarers are the company’s most valuable assets and the core force ensuring the safe navigation of vessels. The company will continue to optimize working and living conditions for frontline staff and uphold the corporate value of "Strivers Rewarded".
