Ruico Shipping’s First Open and Democratic Selection Contest Concludes Successfully

Release time: 2026-03-02

On the afternoon of March 2,  Ruico Shipping held a special“workplace talent show”—the selection contest for Assistant Finance Manager. This was no ordinary internal promotion process, but a brand-new attempt by the company to explore democratic management and scientific talent selection. By optimizing the structure of the finance team and broadening employees’ career development paths, the company demonstrated through concrete actions: here, every talent is seen, and every dream gets a chance to shine.

The entire selection process was transparent and fair: Self-registration → Qualification review → Candidate announcement → PPT presentation → On-site Q&A → Anonymous voting by all staff → Immediate result announcement. The whole event was high-energy, fully open, and rigorously conducted.

Three Finance Experts Compete on the Same Stage

Three outstanding finance professionals signed up for the contest. In registration order, they were: Chen Yujun, Luo Xiaoqin, and Liao Jing. These were not ordinary participants — they were top talents in the Finance Department, core contributors in daily work, and this time they brought their best skills to the company’s stage, performing at their peak.

Chen Yujun: Dual Strength in Professional Competence & Management Potential

Chen Yujun took the stage first and impressed everyone immediately. His presentation was highly informative, covering personal background, core strengths, work experience, capability transformation, professional qualifications, and professional ethics. He demonstrated his comprehensive capabilities in all aspects and elaborated in depth on his future management approach.

Luo Xiaoqin: Professional Expertise & Forward-Thinking Mindset

Luo Xiaoqin followed closely. With clear logic and solid professional knowledge, she won over the judges and colleagues. Her presentation reflected not only profound financial expertise and extensive practical experience but also forward-looking thinking on future financial work, leaving a fresh impression.

Liao Jing: Confident, Composed & Practical

Liao Jing also delivered an outstanding performance, taking the stage with great poise. Her confident and composed demeanor, fluent delivery, and practical vision for the digital transformation of finance earned her repeated applause. She spoke sincerely and authentically, not reciting a script but communicating genuinely with everyone.

Intense Q&A Session: Sharp Questions, Brilliant Responses

The presentation was only the first round — the real challenge came in the Q&A session! Facing sharp questions from on-site and online colleagues, the three candidates remained calm and clear-minded, demonstrating strong professionalism and adaptability. The atmosphere was tense and exciting, pushing the event to a climax — truly a finance talent show.

All-Staff Voting: Chen Yujun Elected with 58% of Votes

After the Q&A, the most exciting moment arrived: 10-minute all-staff anonymous voting. Every shore-based employee had one vote, submitted online in real time, with instant tallying and immediate results. The process was transparent and fair, with no hidden agendas.

Final result: Chen Yujun won the Assistant Finance Manager position with 58% of votes (a majority) and the highest overall score. He became the first middle manager in the company’s history selected through democratic competition — a historic milestone.

Acceptance Speech: Grateful and Committed

Overjoyed, Chen Yujun delivered a sincere acceptance speech. He first thanked the company for creating such a fair and open platform, giving him and his colleagues the chance to showcase talent and pursue dreams. He especially thanked leaders and colleagues for their trust and recognition, calling it his greatest motivation.

He said emotionally:

“This election is not only a great honor but also a heavy responsibility. In the future, I will hold myself to higher standards, strive for excellence in every task, and live up to the expectations of the company and everyone. I will prove with actions that your trust is well-placed.”

Huang Huo, Chairman and President of the company, personally presented the appointment letter to Chen Yujun in a warm and solemn ceremony. President Huang congratulated Chen Yujun and praised Luo Xiaoqin and Liao Jing: stepping onto this stage already makes you winners.
